Review: I hate the process of painting my nails. I'm impatient and sloppy. I usually get nail polish all over my fingers and have to painstakingly clean up with a cotton tip dipped in polish remover.  After waiting for half an hour for my nails to dry, I smudge the polish by accident. Then I have to start all over with that nail. Garh!! @#%^$!!

I recently received a bottle of OPI Drip Dry and I'm in love! This little magic potion guarantees that I don't smudge my nails by accident because it dries my manicure within 60 seconds! Literally! Okay, maybe it's not 100% dry... but it's touch dry. So still means no smudging. Yay! This product is very easy to use. After applying, your top coat, just squeeze one or two drops onto your nail.

I know you might say that it's very expensive for such a small bottle of product. Trust me, it'll last you quite a while because you're only using drops at a time. Okay, well what about fast-drying nail polish? Yes, there are plenty of those on the market but I find a lot of them gluggy. They'll either dry in "patches" or I still end up smudging my manicure because they don't dry fast enough.

Maybe I'm just being melodramatic but I seriously feel like this has been the life-changing product of the year for me! I'll definitely be buying a new bottle once this one runs out.

Do you struggling with at-home manicures like I do? Please do share!

  1. I have to set aside an hour of motionless time after I do my nails, lol, I am easily distracted and forget they're not dry, then I look down and they're all smooshed. I have the Essence version of these drops but I don't use it because it leaves my fingers wet and greasy, it feels gross and I feel like I need to wash it off, so I trash my nails anyway! Sounds like you get what you pay for - how does the OPI leave your fingers feeling, does it evaporate?

    1. Hey Krissy, yes it does evaporate. Personally, I don't feel anything. It feels a bit wet when drops run down my fingers but I never get a gross feeling or the urge to wash them off. :)

  2. This might be the solution to all my nail polish issues!!! I try to be patient but always end up wrecking my newly painted nails by ramming it into some object!

  3. wow this sounds good! I'm like you constantly smudging my nailpolish. You know what really annoys me? When I "think" my nails are dry and I go to bed. Wake up the following morning and I have sheet marks all over my nails lol

  4. Ugh I also always mess up nail polish because I'm too impatient! I wait ages before doing anything but still manage to wreck them. This sounds great!! Although I do have a similar product from Essence which I am quite happy with too!

  5. Great review, Ty! I used to be addicted to these...until I found the Poshe topcoat! I completely hear you on the life changing phrase..the Poshe topcoat actually beats this hands down! I can literally paint my nails and head out the door without smudging! Give it a go sometime if you can. :)
